Nestled in the lake district of the Salzkammergut, you’ll find us between the village centres of Bad Mitterndorf and Bad Aussee. Just 5 minutes by car to Lake Ödensee, 10 to Lake Grundlsee, and only 15 to Lake Altaussee. In winter, skiing and cross-country trails await you on the Tauplitzalm (or the Loser) – and with a bit of luck, you can set off straight from the front door.

The railway station in Kainisch is just around the corner, and the nearest supermarket is within a 10-minute walk. For a delicious meal out, head to the Knödlalm, and if you’re feeling adventurous, you can hike up our local mountain, the “Kampl”, directly from the house.

In the garden, you can relax in the hammock, gather around the fire pit, or enjoy dinner on our rustic benches on a summer evening.

There’s plenty of parking right outside the house, and your skis can be stored in the garage. At present, we don’t yet have covered storage for bicycles, but they can easily be parked in front of the house or in the garden.​
